Who We Are?

WinningSEM was founded by Wael Wafik in Cairo, Egypt in 2001. With an absolute passion for Web Design, Development, Social Media Marketing, SEO and SEM & Mobile Apps Development. We strive to make pixel perfect websites that not only look great but also generate an outstanding user experience, thus, converting leads into customers.

Being successful and dynamic led to international recognition for us. With more than 15 clients in the UK and 20 clients in the Middle East, we added more than 100 more from the USA to our client list. In the last few years, we have specialized in creating web solutions for the real estate industry in the USA, integrating all sides of the industry; Mortgage Companies, Real Estate Agents and also Home Builders.

With the increased demand for our services in the USA, we decided to branch out to Salt Lake City, Utah, creating the largest directory of home builders, with the UtahHomeBuildersHUB.com. We also boosted our clients reach by specializing in recreating the design to be responsive, web stores and Facebook advertising campaigns that made the most of every dollar spent online while also reaching out to those on mobile devices.

The Winning SEM team has successfully combined outstanding designs with search engine optimization, with most of our clients scoring page 1 in search engines, such as Google.

We love what we do!! We chose our name because we know that the WEB industry is a wicked race and to win, you must be number one. We have the tools to win that race!!

WinningSEM sensed the need for strong websites that connects local small and medium enterprises together. After visiting a local business convention at the Sandy Convention center, Wael saw the frustration of some small exhibitors who have great local products but only a small advertising budget.

Wael saw the absolute need for a local business to business directory that works in a new creative way by helping local businesses find each other at a very low cost. Wael started marketing this business and meeting with local Utah small businesses & cities chambers of commerce. Immediately, there were several pre-sign ups for the product and a buzz of interest in the small business community. This B2B directory is scheduled to lunch by last quarter of 2015.

Working closely with the clients is the favorite part of my job at WinningSEM

Since coming back to the USA after being the General Manager of a large American PPC Company in Cairo, Egypt for several years, Terry was asked by Wael if she would manage the Offshore Clients for WinningSEM.

Terry’s background in Customer Service as a Call Center Manager for EDS and her time in HR at Intel Corp make her the perfect fit to manage the day to day issues of leading the US clients through the design process for their new sites. Terry loves seeing the client’s visions for their online persona come to life as the design team in Cairo fulfills their every need.

Thierry Lavigne

Thierry Lavigne brings a vast business resume and experience, adding value to WinningSEM, especially in launching our largest project, Utah Business HUB. With his history in large companies such as Ernst & Young, IdenTrust & Eurotunnel combined with his connections and membership in most of Utah’s business organizations, such as the World Trade Association of Utah, Salt Lake Young Professionals, Global Chamber of Commerce, CEO Space and many others. Thierry is the perfect choice for managing our sales and business development. His help in connecting the Utah Business HUB with local businesses, will be immeasurable and give us a huge push for our formal launch.
